The Arrowverse Continuity: An Obsessive Compulsive’s View (Part II)

Allright, so I believe I have developed the most thorough and correct order in which to view the Arrowverse shows, including: Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, Constantine, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, and Black Lightning. For some people, I admit, they won’t care about the order they watch these shows in, but for those like me who obsess about continuity, and want to watch these shows in a specific order, try this and let me know what you think.

Again, I will abbreviate each series with one word, and Arrow 1.01 means Arrow Season 1, Episode 1. Also, for those not around for last weeks post, I left off at the end of Arrow Season 4, Flash Season 2, Supergirl and Legends Season 1. Without further ado my Watch Order for the Arrowverse shows.

Here I watched Freedom Fighters: the Ray an animated show available on the CWSeed. It was a web series, split into short episodes curated now on the CWSeed streaming platform for free. The two seasons are really short 35 minutes each. It is not necessary to watch, but it amplifies what happens in the crossover IMHO.

Here I would suggest to watch the entire first season of Black Lightning. Black Lightning started in it’s own universe, so right here it is an aberration in the sense that it is not a part of the Arrowverse, but it will become so during the Crisis on Infinite Earths story line that is still two seasons away. Beginning the series here, gives ample opportunity to familiarize with the characters and distinct urban setting. I think this is a good place to stop.

I recognize that this is essentially a list, and not really a post like what you usually get from the Mustache and the Beard, but I really believe that because we recommended all of these shows in our first Enter the Maelstrom video, that we should give you a tool that would help you watch the entire universe of shows in a way that is cohesive, intelligent (relatively speaking), and thought-provoking. Next week, I’ll finish the list.
