CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS
A Preview
Part II

Last time around I spoke to you about the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event that is coming up in the DC television universe. Mostly I tried to give you some background regarding DC Comics’ multiple universes and the Crisis on Infinite Earths comic book, which this crossover is based on. Today I’ll tell you what I know and then what I think is going to happen.

Crisis on Infinite Earths is the sixth annual crossover event occurring in the televisionArrowverse universe continuing plot lines established in the previous crossover event titled Elseworlds. It will be featured in episodes of the CW series Arrow, Batwoman, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl.

Actors who have previously appeared in other DC television series are scheduled to appear – for example Burt Ward who portrayed Dick Grayson in the 1966 Batman TV series. Kevin Conroy who for years has been providing the voice for the animated Batman will be there. In addition there will be Erica Durance and Tom Welling from Smallville, and Ashley Scott from Birds of Prey – plus Cress Williams from Black Lightning.

Actors portraying characters unique to Crisis include LaMonica Garrett who is playing both the Monitor and Anti-Monitor, Tom Cavanagh as Pariah, and Audrey Marie Anderson as Harbinger.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will begin with Supergirl on December 8, 2019. It will then continue with Batwoman on December 9, to be followed by The Flash on December 10. The conclusion will come with Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow both on January 14, 2020.

That is what I know. Here is what I think.

The comic book Crisis on Infinite Earths was designed to get rid of all the multiple universes in DC Comics and leave them with just one universe. The DC television universe has also left them with multiple universes. Because Supergirl debuted on CBS it was given its own universe outside the CW’s Arrowverse. Originally intended for another network Black Lightning was also given its own universe even though it wound up on the CW.

I believe that at the end of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover there only one remaining universe – the Arrowverse – and both Black Lightning and Supergirl will be living there. Like in the comic book this will come about by combining all the universes into one.

In the comic book Crisis on Infinite Earths heroes died. Specifically, both Flash and Supergirl died. Now since neither Supergirl nor Flash has been cancelled I doubt very much either of these characters is getting killed off. However, we all know this is the last season of Arrow. I believe that at the end of the Crisis on Infinite Earths Green Arrow is going to die and that is how they are going to end his series.

I believe that the Ray and Vixen from the Web series Freedom Fighters: The Ray and Vixen are going to appear in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event. I’m basing this on publicity photos I have seen that include both the Ray and Vixen.

Now all this is pure speculation and I could be wrong. If I am that is okay and has nothing to do with enjoying what is about to happen.

I am very excited about the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover and I feel like when I was a kid and buying a bunch of brand new comics or going to the movies to see a film I really wanted to see. I feel like a kid again and I’m not going to apologize for that.

Don’t forget to check out Crisis on Infinite Earths this December and January. This is history in the making. You don’t want to miss it. Don’t be on the wrong side of history.

Be there or be square!
